Originally from Canada, I set out in 1996 with a backpack and an appetite for adventure. Three years and four continents later I found myself in Scotland, fell in love with it, and decided to stay.
I graduated from Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art with an MA (Hons) Fine Art with distinction in 2008. Shortly after, I was hired as the Director of Art in Healthcare, a not-for-profit providing art workshops for people with disabilities as well as lending high quality, original Scottish artwork from it's prestigious collection to hospitals and other healthcare settings throughout the country. It was a difficult decision to leave AiH but after almost 7 years with the organisation I was exceptionally proud of what we'd accomplished and how the organisation had grown. It was the right time to take that leap of faith and focus entirely on my art career. |
