Where Art Meets Technology

Imagine pointing your smartphone at a traditional oil painting and suddenly, like magic, the picture comes to life right before your eyes. A song begins to play and figures in the artwork dance to the music, a cello player draws his bow across strings and butterflies flutter over a little girl's umbrella as she jumps up and down in an imaginary puddle.
'Usher Hall' was my first painting incorporating augmented reality technology. It was on show at the Usher Hall during the 2013 Edinburgh Festival. |
