NFC (Near Field Communication) Tags

Continuing to explore how new technology can be integrated into my artwork, in 2017 I began embedding NFC tags into areas of the paintings. Look closely above the "d" in this detail and you'll see part of a tag under the paint.

Viewers can hover their smartphone over the NFC tags to engage extra digital content including video clips from my interviews with my portrait sitters.
